René Huard has garnered many credits in commercials, television and in the film industry. As the television host of Global Prime’s, “Antique Hunter” and “Antique Style”, René’s notoriety precedes him.

Though formal actor training is reflected in René’s experience, some of the best lessons he has learned about film acting came via work as a ‘stand-in’ for some of Hollywood’s best known talents, like Walter Mathau and James Gardner.

Highlights from René’s acting resumé include a character part on Alliance/Atlantis’s La Femme Nakita (Korda), a feature film credit on Darkman 2 (Political Chairman), and a Labatt’s Beer commercial (Street Hockey).

As an actor who is also a musician, René aspires to someday play the role of a lifetime, immortalizing the life of a pop musical icon, but until then, any chance to share his considerable talents through film and television is welcome.
